Liebherr 984
· This Liebherr 984 was customized for Clairton Slag (CSI) located in Pittsburgh, PA. Used primarily for salt and mulch handling, it is also used with another attachment to unload wire. Changes made to this barge unloader include a custom stick and boom, new bucket, cab elevation, and a custom counterweight
· The counterweight was added to offset the extended reach and larger bucket.
· Calculations are made by Norris Manufacturing's engineers for the exact offset required to reduce wear and strain on the swing bearing and mount.

· The stick and boom were customized for extended reach into barges, to handle heavier materials, and for easier operation.
· Dock sites are drawn by Norris Manufacturing in a CAD program and used to calculate the exact required reach for each customer.

· This PC1000 was customized for Lane Industries in Pittsburgh, PA. It is used to unload stone from the barge and load directly into a crusher. Lane found their own good-used machine then came to Norris Manufacturing for the modifications.
· With operator eye level at 26 ft. above ground, the operator has the best visibility for both bucket placement and unloading.
